Personal Horoscopes

For best results, read for your ascendant/rising sign. If you don't know your ascendant, you can calculate it here.

Aries Last week, Mercury met up with Pluto in Capricorn and your House of Career, inviting you to think about where the power is in your life and how you use your power as a writer. This week Venus is stepping into Mercury's shoes and asking the same questions about power in your relationships with others, the Earth, and your art. Who has power over these things in your life? Where do you have power? How do you use it? This line of inquiry has the potential to be awkward and bring up some taboo subjects, especially with Mars squaring the Sun in Scorpio on Sunday. If you have the courage to face the intensity, though, the intention you bring you work will be...well...powerful. With the New Moon in Aquarius on Monday in your House of Community and Goals, this is a good time to think ahead about where you want your relationships to be six months or a year from now.

Taurus Last week, Mercury and Pluto in Capricorn invited you to think about what limits your freedom. This week, Venus in Capricorn and Mars in Scorpio and your House of Relationships pick up the question, turning the spotlight on relationships. This is a good time to ask yourself if there are ways in which your beliefs about relationships might be limiting you and reinforcing cultural stereotypes, especially with the New Moon in Aquarius on Monday in your House of Career. These aren't comfortable questions, but it's important for you to be brutally honest about this, Taurus, since writers run the risk of bringing unexamined assumptions into their work. If you haven't run your writing through an -isms check lately, you may want to do that now.

Gemini The cosmic cleanse continues this week, Gemini, with Venus and Mars picking up where Mercury left off. After Mercury's general sweep, the focus turns to your relationships. This is a good time to ask hard questions about the future of your relationships and where daily life and habits might be out of alignment with your personal values. With the New Moon in Aquarius on Monday, it's essential that any intentions you set now come from your true self.

Cancer The focus on relationships continues this week Cancer. While the energy of Mercury meeting up with Pluto in your House of Relationships last week supported healing through communication, Venus entering the same territory supports healing through art. With the New Moon in Aquarius on Monday, this is a good time to think about what you want in your closest relationships over the next six months. Art it out, Cancer! Paint it out, collage it out, dance it out. You may be surprised by what bubbles up from the depths.

Leo Last week, Mercury in your House of Daily Grind encouraged you to think about the power work has in your life. This week, the focus is on how power works in your relationships from day to day. Are your relationships empowering, Leo? Do your closest friends and partners support your need to be authentic? Self-expression is always essential for Leo, but with the New Moon in Aquarius and your House of Relationships on Monday, now is a good time to own what makes you you and recommit to being authentic.

Virgo Play can be difficult for you sometimes, Virgo, especially with Pluto going through your House of Creativity, but play can be transformative sometimes. With Venus moving through your House of Creativity and the New Moon in Aquarius in your House of Daily Grind on Monday, now is a good time to make an intention to create space in your routine for play therapy, especially if it involves the ones you love.

Libra With Mercury moving out of a retrograde period in Capricorn, the focus has been on house cleaning in your deep self. The focus last week was on your relationships, and the issue is still open this week--only this time it's Venus asking the questions, which means that anything that is still unaddressed is likely to express itself with your nearest and dearest or in your art. With the New Moon in Aquarius in your House of Creativity, this is a good time to make an intention to bring more authenticity to your artistic practice.

Scorpio Your writing practice has been under the microscope lately, Scorpio. This week Venus is teaming up with Pluto to focus on the artistic side of your writing. Keats said "beauty is truth truth beauty." With your eye for the hard truth, seeing the beauty in the world around you can be difficult sometimes, especially when the people around you want to sugar coat things, but you may benefit from trying on a pair of rose colored glasses for a few days. The New Moon in Aquarius on Monday is a good time to recommit to being deeply authentic.

Sagittarius The focus last week was on taking an inventory of your House of Resources. This week, you may want to pay particular attention to your relationships. What do you have to be grateful for? What do the people around you bring to your life? And what do you have to offer others. The New Moon in Aquarius in your House of Writing makes this a good time to set an intention to show your gratitude.

Capricorn Last week, I encouraged you to spend some time in front of the mirror, Capricorn, and asked if your presentation suits you. It's likely that you feel a practical presentation with sensible shoes suits you best, but with Venus moving through this sign, I encourage you to think of the word "adornment," which at its root means to "add luster." How can you add luster to your presentation? It could be as simple as a well-fitting shirt in a nice fabric or a deep conditioning treatment for your hair. With the New Moon in Aquarius on Monday, now is a good time to recommit to allowing your self-worth to show in your appearance.

Aquarius I'll be honest, I've cringed a little when I get to your 'scope lately, Aquarius. That Pluto transit through your House of Endings is hard stuff. I can talk all I want about how the work you're doing now is preparing you for a new cycle. After death comes rebirth, yada yada. It doesn't make things any easier. Last week, Mercury met up with Pluto, giving you the opportunity to think about what you're ready to let go of. This week, Venus is in the same place, which may put some pressure on your relationships if they aren't solid. If they are solid, though, this is a good time to think about clearing out the things that don't feel good. With the New Moon in your House of Persona on Monday, it's a good time to set aside some time to dream about who you want to become.

Pisces Venus is meeting up with Pluto in your House of Community and Goals this weekend, Pisces, making this weekend feel like a redux of the last one. This time, though, the focus is on relationships and art. Where do you want to be in your art and relationships six months from now? With the New Moon in your House of Endings, you may benefit from thinking of this time as the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

All times Los Angeles/PST.
