Personal Horoscopes

For best results, read for your ascendant/rising sign. If you don't know your ascendant, you can calculate it here.

Aries After dipping back into Capricorn during retrograde season, Mercury returns to Aquarius tomorrow, and Venus follows on Wednesday. Aquarius is in your House of Community and Goals. With the planets that rule writing and art in this sign, it's a good time to make sure that your writing practice is building toward goals that matter to you. Are you working on that novel/essay/short story/book/article because you want to or to please someone else? During this time, you also may want to check in with your writing community. Are the people you surround yourself with supportive of what you want to achieve, or do you find yourself going on the defensive a lot? You're good at sticking to your guns, Aries, but now is the time for gathering allies.

Taurus Following Mercury's move into Aquarius tomorrow, Venus, your chart ruler, is moving into Aquarius and your House of Career on Wednesday. This has the potential to bring up some tension for you. Aquarius is the most progressive sign in the zodiac, and Taurus folks aren't known for being the most radical bunch. When your sign is at its best, though, you are known for your honesty. And let's be honest: In our go, go, go oddly ascetic (unless we're shopping!) culture, you have to be a bit of a radical to shamelessly enjoy a moment of blissful silence in nature (that isn't at the end of a five mile hike) or a nice glass of wine. You know something about these pleasures, Taurus. Reminding us of how important they are is something you were put on this earth to do. So, while Venus and Mercury are in this sign, feel your way through the tension between who you are and who the culture says you should be and pick up your pen.

Gemini Your chart ruler, Mercury, is moving into Aquarius and your House of Adventures tomorrow, Gemini, and Venus is following close behind on Wednesday. With two planets that are so essential to art and to your own self-expression in this sign, you may find yourself feeling restless or motivated to break out of your routines and try something new. If so, go for it! The ancient name for this house is the House of Long Journeys over Water, so don't be afraid to explore. If you allow yourself to follow your curiosity all the way to the end, you might be surprised where it takes you.

Cancer Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius and your House of Taboo this week. This house can be scary for everyone, Cancer. The particular fear depends on where it falls in the chart. For you, it's the Aquarian fear of exile or abandonment. Pay attention to any feelings like that coming up for you over the next month. Explore them in writing and art. Talk about your feelings with the people you're closest to and then thank them for standing by you. Make a list of all of the positive things you bring to your relationships. Celebrate the unique way you express yourself. Be proud of you.

Leo Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius this week. With the planet of perception and the planet that rules relationships in your House of Long Term Relationships, you're entering a period of focus on your nearest and dearest. Authentic self-expression is at the core of how you move through the world. Nowhere is it more important than in your closest relationships, so while your focus is there over the next few weeks, observe your behavior. Are you being true to who you really are? Are there ways in which you edit yourself to be more appealing?

Virgo Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius and your House of Daily Grind this week making this a good time to check in with your routine. Does it match your priorities? Does it include as much time with the people you love as you'd like? Virgo gets a lot of flack for being particular about how things are done, but when it comes to how you use your time, it is essential that you dance to the beat of your own drum.

Libra Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius and your House of Creativity this week bringing a playful energy to your writing and relationships. You may be tempted by the feeling that you have to prove that you deserve to play before you indulge, but I challenge you to eat your dessert before you eat your vegetables and see if you can't allow the line between work and play to blur over the next few weeks.

Scorpio Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius and your House of Deep Self this week. When the planets of communication and art turn inward, it's a good time to take some time away from the outside world and listen to your own inner voice. If you can do it, you would get a lot out of getting out of town and taking a retreat somewhere quiet. If not, setting aside extra time for a journaling or expressive art practice would be beneficial.

Sagittarius Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius and your House of Communication this week. This is Mercury's home house, which means that (all else being equal) writing should come quickly and easily to you over the next few weeks. While those planets are in independently minded Aquarius, it is essential that you are true to yourself and speak your truth. If you can, set aside some extra writing time. You'll be glad you did.

Capricorn Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius this week. Aquarius is the sign of the genius, and with Aquarius in your House of Resources, disregarding what others say about you and learning how to value yourself is a key part of your evolutionary strategy. No one can ever know you better than you know yourself, Capricorn. If you have a hard time believing that, try an experiment: For the next few weeks, pretend that you are the only source on yourself worth listening to and see what happens.

Aquarius Mercury and Venus are moving into your sign this week, Aquarius, and Mercury's extra long tour of your House of Endings is finally over! After a good happy dance--Please, do celebrate!--This is a good time to take a self-inventory. And since Venus is the planet of beauty and pleasure and all the action is taking place in the House of Persona, a good place to start would be looking in the mirror: Do you feel comfortable in your skin? Do you look like you? If your answers are less than enthusiastic, try to set aside time this week to do one thing that makes you feel attractive or gives you real pleasure.

Pisces Mercury and Venus are moving into Aquarius and your House of Endings this week. After Mercury's extended tour of your house of Community and Goals, the energy will get decidedly more introverted this week. This is a good time to attend to your spiritual side or withdraw to do some inner healing, especially through art or writing.

All times Los Angeles/PST.
