Big Transits are happenings in the sky that last for more than a few weeks. The longer a planet stays in one place, the longer it has to build up power. Since we can't spend all our time star gazing, these are the events that I believe are most worth attention.

As one of the inner planets, Venus is fast-moving, going through the entire cycle in 584 days. (Compare this to Pluto's cycle, which is almost 250 years.) When Venus teams up with another planet, the aspect usually only lasts for a few days, but its passage through each sign usually lasts a month.

Today, Venus enters Virgo, a passage that will last until November 8th, giving us plenty of time to turn a Virgo-ian eye on Venusian things, such as: love, relationships, money, security, and self-worth. Where are you with these things right now? Are you happy?

The last time Venus was in Virgo was July 23-August 16, 2013. What was happening in your life around these issues then? If you keep a journal, now might be a good time to flip through those weeks to remember what you were thinking about.

Pay particular attention to Virgo concerns: What were you building in your relationships or finances? Was it what you wanted to be building? How was your self-worth? How secure did you feel? Were your relationships healthy? Did you have a healthy approach to security?

What has changed since 2013? Have you grown? If so, take a few minutes to pat yourself on the back, you evolving human, you.

Once you've had time to reflect on the past, where do you want to be in the future? If you were to spend between now and November 8 focusing on making your relationships, finances, and self-worth more healthy, where would you focus your energy?

That's a lot of territory to go over, and a month can speed by before you know it, so if you need to narrow it down, think about where these issues intersect with the energies of Mars and Jupiter. (They've been in Virgo since the end of September and the middle of August, respectively.) Where in your life do you feel the energy to grow? Where do you feel passionate around these issues right now? What is important enough to you that you would take a risk, even if it meant that what you attempted didn't work out?
