Big Transits are happenings in the sky that last for more than a few weeks. The longer a planet stays in one place, the longer it has to build up power. Since we can't spend all our time star gazing, these are the events that I believe are most worth attention.

There is a lot happening in the sky this week, but if you only have time to think about one transit, I suggest you think about this one.

Yesterday (or tomorrow depending on how you do the math) we wrapped up an 18 month cycle of the North Node in Libra and the South Node in Aries. Now the nodes are moving backward into Virgo and Pisces where they will stay for the next 18 months.

The Nodes of the Moon are two points in the sky that are always opposite each other. The North Node is where the collective is facing challenges that will help us grow. The South Node is where we're challenged to let go of our garbage.

With the South Node in Pisces, we are challenged to let go of dreams that no longer serve us. It's time to give up delusions, addictions, and the poisonous substances that pollute our bodies.

While we release with one hand, we make manifest in with the other. Virgo is the sign of embodiment, craft, and health. What dreams do you want to make real over the next 18 months? What vague ideas can you pull out of the ether and bring down to earth and give form? What would becoming healthier mean to you? What can you do to get there?

To get some clarity, reflect on the last time the nodes were in these signs: January 26, 1997 – October 20, 1998. If you were alive back then, what was going on in your life? What dreams did you have? Do those dreams still resonate for you? Do you want to give them form?

Not the easiest questions, I know, but this transit lasts until April 28, 2017, so you have plenty of time to think about it.

PS You can read more about this transit in Nadia Gilchrist's recent post on Sasstrology.
